1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kodaman mobile game, the browser version of the game and the kodaman.io website (together, the “Game”), provided by Basa Games (“we”, “us”). By downloading, opening or playing the Game you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
2. The Game
Kodaman is a free-to-play business and life simulation game supported by ads. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Game for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. Age
The Game is designed for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you should use the Game with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. If the app store’s age rating is higher, that rating applies.
4. No accounts, your progress and transfer codes
The Game has no accounts or passwords; your progress is stored on your device and in our cloud backup, linked to a random device ID. Keep your transfer codes private: anyone who has a code can load your game onto their device. We cannot guarantee recovering your progress if you lose your device, uninstall the app or reset the game.
5. Virtual currency and virtual items
- The money, properties, companies, collectibles and all other items in the Game (“Virtual Items”) are virtual content usable only in the Game and have no real-world monetary value.
- Virtual Items cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services, withdrawn, sold, transferred to others, or traded outside the Game.
- You do not own Virtual Items; you only have a right to use them within the Game.
- We may change the value, behaviour or amount of Virtual Items to keep the Game balanced, and remove items obtained through bugs or cheating.
- The Game currently has no real-money purchases. If they are added later, purchases will be subject to the relevant app store’s terms and applicable consumer law.
6. No real-money gambling
The Game contains and facilitates no real-money gambling of any kind. No real money, real prizes or anything of real-world value can be won or lost in the Game. The in-game economy, companies and markets are entirely fictional; the in-game stock market and finance features are not investment advice.
7. Ads
The Game includes optional rewarded ads: you choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game bonus. Ads are served by third-party ad networks (Google AdMob); we are not responsible for their content or for advertisers’ products. If an ad fails to load or complete, the reward may not be granted. Do not use methods that block ads or try to obtain rewards unfairly.
8. Acceptable use
When using the Game you agree not to:
- use cheats, bots, automation tools or software that modifies the Game, or exploit bugs for an unfair advantage;
- reverse engineer, copy, modify, overload or attempt to breach the security of the Game or our servers;
- use other people’s device IDs, session keys or transfer codes without permission;
- use player names or content that are abusive, hateful, unlawful or infringe the rights of others;
- use the Game commercially or in breach of applicable law.
If you breach these Terms, we may reset your progress, delete your data or restrict your access to the Game without prior notice.
9. Intellectual property
The Game’s name, logo, characters, story, artwork, sounds, software and all other content belong to Basa Games or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are transferred to you except as expressly granted in these Terms. We may use suggestions and feedback you send us to improve the Game without any obligation to you.
10. Availability, updates and changes
We provide the Game “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, update, suspend or discontinue the Game, its features and content at any time. You may need to install updates to keep playing. Online features such as cloud backup and transfers require an internet connection.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or progress, loss of profits, or damages caused by third-party services (app stores, ad networks, internet providers, etc.) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Game. As the Game is provided free of charge, our total liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have that cannot be limited by law, such as consumer rights.
12. App stores
If you downloaded the Game from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms also apply. These Terms are between you and us; Apple and Google are not parties to them and have no support or warranty obligations for the Game.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Game at any time and ask for your data to be deleted on the Data deletion page. We may end your licence if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (virtual items, intellectual property, liability, governing law) remain in effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of [Istanbul (Central)] have jurisdiction over disputes. This does not affect consumers’ rights to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, or to rely on the mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and we will announce important changes in the Game. Continuing to use the Game after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
